Migraine Relief and Motility

The purpose of this study is to measure gastrointestinal transit time in adult patients with migraines before and after initiation of CGRP medication. This study will be open label and you will either be given Emgality or Aimovig. You will use a wireless motility capsule (WMC) technology that tracks and records the speed of your stomach emptying. This will be done before and after the medication is administered.

HIV and Hepatitis C Rapid Tests

The purpose of this study is to test the accuracy of tests that detect either HIV or Hepatitis C in non-infected individuals. Individuals over the age of 18, and who have an unknown status, and are at low risk for HIV and HCV may qualify.

Pneumonia Vaccine

Rochester Clinical Research is currently enrolling generally healthy individuals over 50 years old for a vaccine research study. The study will assess the safety and tolerability of two different dosage levels of study vaccine that may protect against a greater number of strains of pneumococcal disease. The study will last approximately 6 months with two visits to our office and 3 telephone calls.

The study will use a drug called Cytisine, a plant-based drug and has been used for smoking cessation since the 1960’s in Easter and Central Europe. The hope is to have an overall reduction in cigarette smoking during the study treatment period.
