About the study:

Rochester Clinical Research is seeking healthy volunteers over the age of 18 for a one-visit, blood draw.

The purpose of this study is to determine a reference range for the in-office cardiac troponin test.

Troponin tests are used to help determine if an individual has suffered a heart attack. Fast troponin tests are currently only available in the ED or hospital. The ability to have accurate testing with immediate results in an outpatient setting may reduce the need for ED and hospital visits.

This study will be a one-visit, consisting of one blood draw. Compensation of $50 is available for time and travel to those who qualify.

Qualifications

  • Must be over the age of 18 years old
  • No hospitalization within the last 3 months
  • No diagnosis of Diabetes
  • No history of high blood pressure or high cholesterol
