About the Study

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) that causes increased diarrhea is often called IBS-D. Those who suffer from IBS-D often have recurrent abdominal pain associated with change in stool frequency or form (diarrhea). RCR is currently seeking adults who suffer from abdominal cramps and diarrhea for a research study of an investigational medication for abdominal pain in those suffering from IBS-D.

The purpose of this study is to assess whether volunteers taking the study medicine experience relief from abdominal pain caused by their IBS-D. The study will last up to 18 weeks, with 5-6 visits to our office and 2 telephone calls. There is no costs for participating in the research study and you will be compensated up to $360 for time and travel, if qualified.


  • Be over the age of 18 years old
  • Suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) for at least 3 months
