About This Study:

This is a weight loss study for patients with severe obesity. Obesity is a chronic disease and has an increasing prevalence as a public health concern associated with the rising numbers of individuals getting Type 2 Diabetes and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Lifestyle interventions in the form of diet and exercise are always the first line of treatment for obesity, but it is difficult to achieve and maintain weight loss. Surgical treatments also offer an effective alternative for some people with severe obesity, but surgery carries a large risk of complications.

This particular study is testing the efficacy and safety of a study injection administered once weekly. The drug is expected to result in weight reduction and potentially decrease cardiac risk in patients struggling with obesity. In previous phases of this trial, the study drug has shown greater body weight reduction compared to other conventional pharmacologic therapies.

This study will last approximately 109 weeks long and will include 29+ visits to our office. Compensation for your trial-related time will be provided to you. There is no cost for participating in this study and no health insurance is required.
